About us
Behind Functional Design are two enthusiastic minds who have been developing innovative products for the motorhome industry for over 15 years. Torsten Hartmann (master builder) and Guido Gleichmann (mechanical engineer - development and design) are themselves passionate "motorhome enthusiasts". That's why they both know very well that supposed little things can have an enormous impact on the pleasure of traveling. It was the annoying wind noise of a roof hood, for example, that provided the impetus to develop their own solutions to widespread problems and challenges.

Since then, numerous products have been created, which always offer real added value for traveling on the road. The team has the highest demands on the design and the quality of workmanship. Nothing is left to chance. For example, Functional Design already works with the University of Darmstadt during product development and has all products handcrafted in East Westphalia.
