What is the difference between ...
forced ventilated and unventilated
In the case of an unventilated MIDI-HEKI, there is a circumferential sponge rubber seal in the area of the installation frame where the acrylic glass hood engages with the installation frame. The seal can be easily felt when the roof hood is open.
This seal is missing on the MIDI-HEKI with forced ventilation! Here there are two springs opposite the hinge, in the area of the latching hooks.
If this roof hood variant is converted to a non-ventilated MIDI-HEKI, the springs are omitted and the Dometic-Seitz original seal (article BG 1521) is inserted.
